Sometimes, I find the best help and practical encouragement in the book of James. Yesterday was a day of testing. I knew it was my enemy who was doing his job —killing, stealing and destroying. Not once did I accuse God of failing, which is a major step forward. To Him be all the glory!

This morning, I sense a new day and the sun of righteousness is rising with healing of spirit, soul and body. This is the outcome of being tested or having your faith tried by motley manifestations of tests, trials, temptations and disciplinary correction. In the midst of all that, your faith is being proven to be good, strong and getting stronger. The Lord is perfecting His patience in you. The outcome of it all is SHALOM! A peace that passes all knowledge and which fills spirit, soul and body with well-being and wholeness.

Count it all joy!

2 Let it be all joy to you, my brothers, when you undergo tests of every sort;

3 Because you have the knowledge that the testing of your faith gives you the power of going on in hope;

4 But let this power have its full effect [perfected work], so that you may be made complete [spirit, soul and body], needing nothing.
